La compagnia teatrale "La Pozzanghera" fu fondata nel 1988 da un gruppo di amici con la passione per il teatro e da allora, ha messo in scena molteplici spettacoli sia in teatro, sia nei locali, sia aperto, senza mai dimenticare il sociale con vari spettacoli a scopo benefico. Dal 2007 La Pozzanghera è presenza fissa alla manifestazione “Luci sui Forti” che ogni anno si tiene a Forte Sperone a Genova.

ENGLISH The theatre company “La Pozzanghera” was founded in 1988 by a group of friends with a passion for theater. By that time, they had staged several performances in theaters both indoor and outdoor, not to mention various social events for charity. Since 2007, “La Pozzanghera” has always taken part in the festival "Luci sui Forti" held at Forte Sperone in Genoa.

Dal 2008, complice un collega di lavoro, attore per passione, ho avuto l’opportunità di documentare “Luci sui Forti”. Le foto contenute in questo report sono relative allo spettacolo “Ci Vediamo tre 20 anni” andato in scena a Luglio 2010 a Forte Sperone.

ENGLISH Since 2008, thanks to a colleague, with a passion for acting, I have had the opportunity to cover Luci sui Forti”. The photos contained in this report are relating to the show "Ci vediamo tra 20 anni" (See you in 20 years) that was staged at Forte Sperone in July 2010.

Ma chi sono gli attori che recitano nella compagnia “La Pozzanghera”? Che cosa vuol dire per loro recitare in teatro, e che cosa provano? Come conciliano le attività quotidiane con lo studio dei copioni e le prove? Gli strepitosi Roberta De Donatis e Francesco Maria Giacobbe mi hanno risposto così:

Roberta De Donatis: - Mi chiamo Roberta, ho 35 anni e sono salentina. Mi sono trasferita a Genova per lavoro nel 2003; mi sono trovata benissimo in questa città da subito! E’ molto accogliente (soprattutto per il clima) colorata e vivace. Mi sono trovata così bene che nel 2006 ho spostato Francesco (genovese doc): nello stesso anno sono entrata a far parte della compagnia la Pozzanghera con una piccola parte in “Molto rumore per nulla“ di W. Shakespeare: è stata un’esperienza eccitante e divertentissima che mi ha aperto un nuovo mondo a cui credo che non potrei più rinunciare! Recitare è il sipario che si apre lentamente mentre il cuore batte forte, è il palcoscenico immerso nella luce accecante dei fari, è il pubblico che si diverte e si emoziona con noi, grazie a noi. Recitare è giocare con i costumi, i trucchi, le parrucche, con i personaggi da rappresentare, le scenografie da montare e smontare, le prove fino a notte fonda. Recitare è anche chiudere la porta in faccia ai pensieri e vivere in un altro mondo con i miei amici ,con la Pozzanghera. La Pozzanghera è casa. Il lavoro con le prove e lo studio sebbene a prima vista possa sembrare il contrario, è conciliabilissimo! Secondo me abbiamo un’ottima organizzazione di base, per cui il lavoro in teatro è sempre programmato in modo da tener conto delle esigenze “professionali” di tutti e in modo da rispettare gli incastri anche più difficili. Per rendere efficace l’organizzazione degli impegni è fondamentale il rispetto reciproco, e questo nella Pozzanghera è sempre vivissimo. Non nego che a volte sia faticoso, ma ne vale sempre la pena! -

ENGLISH Roberta De Donatis: My name is Roberta, I'm 35 and I come from Salento. I moved to Genoa for work in 2003. I love living in Genoa! It's very pleasant (especially the climate) vivid and colorful. I found myself so much at home that in 2006 I married Francesco, a (real Genoese) man born and bred in Genoa. In the same year I joined the “La Pozzanghera” with a small role in "Molto Rumore per Nulla" (“Much ado about nothing”) by (W.) Shakespeare. It was such an exciting and mind-opening experience that it opened a new world and I am now hooked. Acting is a veil that slowly lifts it’s the heart beating faster, it’s the stage surrounded by the blaze of lights, it’s the audience getting excited and being infected by our mood. Acting is manipulating costumes, makeup, wigs, to represent the characters; the sets to assemble and disassemble, the rehearsals continuing into the night. Acting is also closing the door to normal thought and living in another world with my friends, at the “La Pozzanghera”. “La Pozzanghera” is home. Rehearsing and learning the parts is not so difficult, although at first glance it may seem otherwise! I believe we have a good basic organization, so that work in the theater is always programmed to accommodate the "professional" needs of all the members. To be effective, the organization has to be founded on mutual respect, and this is always lively in “La Pozzanghera”. I do not deny that it is sometimes difficult but always worth it!

Francesco Maria Giacobbe: - Sono entrato in compagnia nel 2006, portando con alcuni amici una produzione autonoma e "chiedendo asilo". La produzione è andata bene ("Andy & Norman" si replica ancora oggi...) il rapporto personale anche, e...senza troppi formalismi sono entrato in famiglia! Ho inoltre assunto, in seguito, il ruolo di tesoriere/contabile della compagnia. Recitare per me vuol dire tante cose: giocare, illudere, illudermi, respirare, mettermi una maschera togliendome un'altra. Recitare per me è sinonimo di amare e l'amore non ha una definizione univoca! Recitare con la Pozzanghera è la fortunata occasione di fare tutto questo con un gruppo di amici, una scialuppa con tanti marinai diversi coi quali si fatica, si ride e a volte si discute,...ma si rema tutti e sempre nella stessa direzione. Come dire: La Pozzanghera è il Paese di Utopia! Concilio il lavoro con l’attività teatrale, che presuppone studio e prove, con il sacrificio che solo una grande passione ti da la forza di affrontare. I miei colleghi sanno che quando la porta del mio ufficio in pausa pranzo è chiusa, vuol dire che sto sudiando i copioni. I miei amici al di fuori della compagnia si sono rassegnati a vedermi molto meno. Ho invece risolto tutti i problemi sentimentali da quando mia moglie è entrata nella “Pozza”! -

ENGLISH Francesco Maria Giacobbe I joined the company in 2006, bringing some friends with an independent production and "seeking asylum". The production was good ("Andy & Norman", still in the repertoire...), the personal relationships too, and... without too many formalities I joined the family! I also took on the role of treasurer of the company. To Act in my opinion means many things: to play, deceive, delude, breathe, put on one mask and then change it for another. Acting is synonymous with love and love has no single definition! Acting with the “La Pozzanghera” is the lucky chance to do all these with a group of friends, a boat with so many other sailors in whose company we strive, laugh and sometimes argue but we all row in the same direction. In fact, the “La Pozzanghera” is the country of Utopia! I Manage the work with the activity in the theatre, which requires study and practice, with the self-sacrifice that only a great passion gives you the strength to face. My colleagues know that when the door of my office is closed during lunch, it means that I'm learning my part. My friends outside the company are resigned to meeting me much less. However, I solved all problems of the heart when my wife stepped into “La Pozza”!
